Tour itinerary: Kathmandu – Pokhara – Thimphu – Punakha – Punakha – Paro
Day 1: meeting at LAX airport and check-in airlines for flight to Kathmandu.
Day 2: Transit at the airport
Day 3: Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel to check-in (NO MEAL). Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu
Day 4: In Kathmandu (B/L/D)
Today visit the city and the Swoyambhunath Stupa. Visit the 17th century Durbar complex; Hanuman Dhoka temple; and Kasthmandap temple built from a single tree. Lunch. During the afternoon visit Pashupatinath and Bouddhanath, the 5th century Buddhist stupa set in the valley to keep an external watch over the people. Dinner. Overnight at Hotel inKathmandu
Day 5: Kathmandu to Pokhara (B/L/D)
After breakfast drive to Pokhara. Upon arrival in Pokhara check in at the hotel. Balance day at leisure. Lunch at local restaurant. Dinner at Hotel. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 6: In Pokhara (B/L/D)
Early morning excursion to Saronkot view point. 20 kms (40 minutes drive). Visit to the Davi’s fall International Mountain Museum. Morning: Boating at the Lake Fewa for about 1 hour. Balance day at leisure. Lunch at local restaurant & Dinner at hotel. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 7: Pokhara (B/L/D)
Full day at leisure to do optional activities like Paragliding in front of fish tail mountain (subject to weather condition) and get an areil view of the Phewa lake or spend time at tourist market for last minute shopping. Overnight stay.
Day 8: Pokhara to Kathmandu by flight (B/L/D)
After breakfast transfer to airport to board flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu balance day at leisure. Lunch at local restaurant & Farewell dinner Nepalese Cuisine with Cultural Show).Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 9: Kathmandu – Paro (by flight) – Thimphu (B/D)
Check-out hotel. Transfer to airport for flight to Paro. After immigration formalities and baggage collection, transfer to Thimphu- the calpital town of Bhutan with en-route stop at Chuzom, the confluence of Thimphu and Paro rivers. On arrival in Thimphu, check-into the hotel. Dinner and Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
Day 10: In Thimpu (B/L/D)
After breakfast, sightseeing in Thimphu valley including visit to the following: the National Library, the Institute for Zorig Chusum. Continue on to ‘Simply Bhutan’. Followed by a drive to Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang). Trashichhoedzong, “fortress of the glorious religion”. Followed by a visit to Memorial Chorten. Lunch & Dinner and Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
Day 11: Thimpu – Punakha (70 km, appros 3 hrs drive) (B/L/D)
After breakfast drive to Punakha. Upon arrival check in at the Hotel. Evening at leisure or drive to a view point for pictures. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
Day 12: Punakha – Sightseeing (B/L/D)
Morning after breakfast a beautiful hike takes you to the regal Khamsum Yuelley Namgel Chorten. Afternoon visit Punakha Dzong or (Palace of Great Happiness). Later in the day excursion to Chimi Lakhang. Lunch & Dinner and Overnight at the hotel in Punakha.
Day 13: Punakha-Paro (B/L/D)
After breakfast drive back to Paro. En route visit Simtokha Dzong, the place of profound tantric teaching, this dzong now houses a school for the study of the Dzongkha language. Later in the day after checking into hotel, proceed to visit Ta Dzong. Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, meaning (“fortress of the heap of jewels”). Lunch & Dinner and Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Day 14: In Paro (B/L/D)
After breakfast excursion to Taktshang Monastery (5hrs hike) and hence it is called ‘Tiger’s Nest’. Along the way to the hotel, visit the 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo. Lunch & Dinner and Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Day 15: Paro to Kathmandu – departure (B/L/D)
After early breakfast at the hotel, drive to the airport for flight toKathmandu. Upon arrival inKathmandu, you will be met and transferred to Farewell Dinner at Bhaithank (Nepalese Cuisine with Cultural Show) and transfer to airport for flight back toUSA. End of our services.
Day 16: arrive USA
